NPAPN Conference- Call for COVID-19 Abstracts

The NPAPN Confernece is looking for abstracts for the 2021 specific to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  The call for abstracts will only be open for a short period of time in October, so now is the time to get your abstract ready.

New call for abstracts to open on October 12

To ensure the conference remains relevant to the global context of advanced practice nursing, the scientific program committee has decided to offer a new and exciting abstract call focused on the COVID-19 pandemic. This new call is in addition to all previous abstracts that were reviewed and accepted for the conference and will open mid-October for about four weeks only.

Awards of Excellence

The NPAPN 2021 Awards of Excellence will recognize exceptional advanced practice nurse (APN) achievements at the Conference in Halifax next year. A Recognition of Excellence Committee will honor outstanding APNs in Education, Research, Leadership and Practice. Nomination details are being developed at the moment and more information will be provided in the future.  

Emotional and Spiritual Well Being and Resilience of Advanced Practice Nurses globally during the COVID-19 Crisis The ICN NP/APN Network is seeking study participants to hear about their professional and personal experience during the COVID-19 pandemic in a study that was developed by a group of researchers from the Network. Participants will be asked to fill in a short questionnaire, which should only take 15 minutes. There is an optional opportunity to share additional experiences as a case study. This study has received ethical approval from the University of Huddersfield, UK and the Athabasca University in Canada.  Participants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be an Advanced Practice Nurse (NP/CNS/APN). For example, you may be working clinically, in education, research, policy-making or other related NP/APN work.
  2. Be able to read and write in English.
  3. Have access to an Internet connection.

Your participation will help provide much needed information to understand the impact that COVID-19 has on Advanced Practice Nurses. Participation is voluntary, confidential, and has no foreseeable risk or harm.
